OVERVIEW
Halong Bay is a beautiful natural wonder in northern Vietnam near the Chinese border. The Bay is dotted with 1,600 limestone islands and islets and covers an area of over 1,500 sqkm. This extraordinary area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. For many tourists, this place is like something right out of a movie. The fact is that Halong Bay features a wide range of biodiversity, while the surrealistic scenery has indeed featured in endless movies.
Hanoi - Sapa - Ha Long - Hanoi
DAY 1 : ARRIVE IN HANOI (N/A)
Arrive in Hanoi - Noi Bai International Airport.
You will be met at the airport by your English speaking guide and transfer to your hotel in downtown Hanoi. Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is a beautiful city of lakes, shaded boulevards and verdant public parks.
After check-in we will enjoy a short walk through the Old Quarter of Hanoi, where we observe the daily life of the locals on busy markets and narrow shaded streets. The Old Quarter includes 36 old streets with each name representative of the type of merchandise sold in it.
Overnight in Hanoi
DAY 2 : HA NOI CITY TOUR – LAO CAI (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, is a beautiful city of lakes, shaded boulevards and verdant public parks. In the morning we will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum & Museum, the One Pillar Pagoda and the historical Temple of Literature, the first university of Vietnam, built in 1070 in honor of Confucius.
In the afternoon we will visit Hoan Kiem Lake (The Restored Sword Lake) and the Ngoc Son Temple, which is on an island in the northern part of the lake, and then enjoy a Cyclo tour along the narrow streets of the ancient part of Hanoi. We then continue with a walking tour of the Old Quarter of Hanoi. The Old Quarter includes 36 old streets with each name representative of the type of merchandise sold in it.
In the evening we will attend a traditional Water Puppet show. This art originates from rural festivals in Vietnam. The artists – men and women – stand waist deep in the water to manipulate the puppets, making them move about, talk, laugh and even dance on the surface of the water. The audience is meant to experience the atmosphere of a village festival.
Transfer to the Hanoi railway station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on train.
DAY 3 : LAO CAI – SAPA - LAO CHAI - TA VAN
Early morning arrival in Lao Cai station and enjoy breakfast. Then transferred to Sapa for check in hotel (at 14.00 pm)
Depart from Sapa town by car to Lao Chai village, following the road down the hill. Views of the Muong Hoa valley and magnificent surroundings of mountains and rice terrace fields can be seen from this road. Along the road, people from many ethnic groups (H’mong, Zay, and Red Dao) are likely to be met, and there are stalls along the way that serve tea, fruits and sweets. Soon after turning off the main road and taking a local path, we will arrive in the Black H’mong village of Lao Chai, where you will experience the daily life of the villagers. After that, we walk from Lao Chai to Ta Van village, where the Zay hill tribes live. Then return to hotel. Have Lunch and dinner at local restaurant.
Overnight in Sapa
DAY 4 : SAPA – BAC HA MARKET ON SUNDAY - LAO CAI - OVERNIGHT ON TRAIN (Breakfast/Lunch)

Then 6h30 we departure to go to the Bac Ha market for three hours by a van. Bac Ha is one of the biggest Market on Sapa and open on Sunday only. It’s not only the trading center but it’s also the place for couples, friends and relatives. At this market every thing on sales: Pig, dog, cat, houres… so it make this market hotter on Sunday. There are 10 minority groups in the Bac Ha region. We can buy homemade handicrafts and clothes.
In the afternoon we will have a 2 hour trek to Ban Pho village (Flower H’Mong people) where we can have look in their houses and understand little more about their lifestyle and traditional customs.
And then we drive back to Lao cai Station for the night train to Hanoi.

DAY 5: HANOI - HALONG (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
Train arrive in Hanoi in the early morning at 5:00AM . Pick up from here to a Hotel for breafast & short rest before journey to Halong Bay . 8:00AM drive to Halong Bay (3,5 hours), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Whoever comes to Vietnam should not miss the chance to visit Halong Bay, a picturesque blend of harmonious transition between the mountains and the sea.
Halong Bay is in the Bac Bo (Tonkin) gulf and stretches over an area of 1,500 km2 with three thousand green islands that look like jewels. Upon arrival at the harbor we will embark on a junk. We will enjoy a fresh seafood lunch on the boat while experiencing the majestic beauty of Halong Bay. The junk is a wooden sailboat designed in a traditional Vietnamese style while offering a full range of modern amenities. Visit the fascinating Dau Go Cave called “The Cave of Marvels” and Thien Cung Cave, the “Heavenly Palace cave” surrounded by spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.
After dinner, enjoy fishing with local fishermen. The reflection of the limestone outcrops, the sight of fishing boats lit up in the darkness; enjoy these precious moments in one of the most breathtaking landscapes in the world.
Overnight on the junk.
DAY 6: HALONG - HANOI (Breakfast/Brunch)
After gazing at the sunrise, you will navigate through the numerous oddly shaped limestone outcrops. Stop by a cove for a panoramic view of Halong Bay. Seafood feast on board.
Transkfer back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi
DAY 7 : HANOI DEPARTURE (Breakfast)
Breakfast at hotel.
Free at leisure, check out hotel at 12.00.
Untill the time the driver pick up you at the hotel and transfer to the airport in Hanoi for departure.

- Cancelation 30 days prior to arrival date: USD 50 per person will be charged.
- Cancelation from 20 days to 30 days prior to arrival date: 30% of total invoice amount will be charged
- Cancelation from 10 days to 20 days prior to arrival date: 50% of total invoice amount will be charged
- Cancelation less than 10 days prior to arrival date or no-show: 100% of total invoice invoice amount will be charged
Refund Policy
If tour participants buy additional services which are not included in their program, the service fee will be charged on spot.
If tours participants cancel some services and / or portion of the tour program at their will during the trip, reimbursements shall not be made for these unused services and /or portions .
If in the course of the trip, an illness or mishap befalls a tour participant that entails extra services and /or medical attention arranged by company, all the related additional costs shall be defrayed by the participant himself or herself on the spot.
