Sa Pa is a town in the highlands of Sa Pa district, located in Lao Cai province, Vietnam. Located in the Northwest of Vietnam, Sa Pa town is located at an altitude of 1,600 meters above sea level, 38 kilometers from Sapa to Lao Cai city and 376 kilometers from Hanoi. In addition to the main road from Lao Cai city, to Sapa, there is another traffic route, Highway 4D connecting from Binh Lu commune, Lai Chau. Although the majority of the residents of Sa Pa district are ethnic minorities, the town is concentrated mainly on the Kinh people living on agriculture and tourism services.
